Just discovered this forum while searching around, hoping desperately to find a leaked copy of the advance review DVD sent out to media. LOL

Thanks for the clip. They showed a short bit of that in the preview after "Phoenix". I'm glad you couldn't find a leaked copy of the finale. I probably couldn't resist, and then I'd hate myself for watching it!

Yes, as discussed here, that falls in with the plot hypothesis along with other clues. If it turns out to be true, you have to give Gilligan credit for really layering the show with hints and 'Easter Eggs'. He wouldn't do it if he didn't think he had a following that would dig for such hidden meaning.

Season 2 hasn't aired yet in the UK but I manage to watch it on Monday.

Does anyone have an idea when the Season 2 DVD's might be released? Is it likely that they will come out just before Season 3 airs, as seems to be the norm?

yea im guessing it will be out a month before season 3 thats what they do with most shows now a days is release the season dvd before the new one probably so people can catch up if they haven't seen the episodes.. anyway im gonna pick it up for sure wish it would come out during the summer but its not

That was brilliant television.

The message here is that karma works in groups. And karma bit Walt in the ass BIG TIME.

Lots of stuff set for next season, too. Gus knows he's connected to the DEA; his face is pretty much EVERYWHERE now; Jesse isn't the same; Hank is getting closer. It's all a huge shitstorm.

Great finale.

Deus Ex Machina that Donald just so happened to be an air traffic controller, and the plane debris just so happened to land in Walt's yard?

Perhaps, but it works here because of the message the entire season went through to set it up. They didn't cheat; they used all 13 episodes fairly; karma ran through Walt's world and didn't have to pull in outside forces to strike him down.

My favorite scene was Walt and Jesse in the crack house, touching.

Walt and Skyler was intense, but expected I think, I was waiting for it. Have fun with Ted you c*** Hope your thankful when Walt kicks it.

The plane crash.......when i saw Donald was an Air traffic controller, I was like no no no no........about 200 people are gonna die indirectly due to Walt (and Jesse will think it's him...........man)

The plane crash was visually awesome and horrible, it was almost biblical in ways, with the pieces crashing down around Walt, like heaven's judgment.

See? That's brilliant story-telling, and a fantastic analysis, Lparsons7981; to me, that was MUCH more satisfying than Walt's house being the scene of a Cartel hit. Very cerebral.

Agreed, it's a cut above a cliched explosion or shootout (which I thought would be it for sure till I saw the whole black and white intro to this episode)

It's a ballsy move by the writers, as I'm not sure everyone will "get" the larger sense of Karma and the consequences of Walt's actions.

But does anyone else agree Walt's beard was pretty badass? not as Badass as my own of course, but pretty cool Better then that lame mustache, even though I still can't quite get used to the shaved head yet.

I'm glad he went full-on goatee; the moustache was too wormy for Heisenberg.

It's going to be a loooooooooooonnnng wait for the next season.

But yeah, I'm glad there are some people out there who get the finale and appreciate what it set out to do.

That b**** needs to get tripped down the stairs (with the baby safely in someone elses arms of course, the baby is cool, Skyler is not). She reminds me of my freakin mother when she gets all hot and bothered.

Enjoy your life with Ted, Skyler, you've been wanting this for MONTHS. You can forgive what he did "for people's families." But you can't forgive what Walt did for you, he caused a god damn plane crash so you could live comfortably in the lifestyle to which you've become accustomed. I love her little "cheating" investigation with Gretchen, somebody felt guilty!

If I was Walt I'd have Jesse move in and not let her back in. Throw a stack of 20s at her and show her skank ass the curb.

holy shit all i have to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so much happend in such a small episode commercials really annoyed me and as i guessed we wouldnt find who was in the body bags obviously they were people in the air plane this finale was hard on me mainly because i knew it would leave me wanting season 3 so badly!!!!!... to long of a wait!! to long .. oh man..

Man that James26 sure hit the nail on the head with everything. I'm just glad I was smart enough to see the wisdom of his deductions. Glad that I agreed with him that the bear did fall from the sky as well. Guess Vince Gilligan and that one reporter from the LA Times don't read the amc talk forums much otherwise they would've seen that somebody indeed did have it all figured out. Of course they could never admit to that though even if someone did for obvious reasons. I posted a few invitations for James to come over to our site. I think he would be a great addition to the crew. We'll see if he takes the bait. LOL. I don't think there will be much to post about 'till next season though anyhow. Boy that's going to be a LONG wait.

Damn what do you think Walt's reaction will be when he finds out he was indirectly responsible for all those deaths?! The thing I think that is going to weigh on him the most is that there were children aboard those planes, hence the pink stuffed animal. He is never going to be able to look at his daughter the same way again I bet. Jesus, I just thought of something, I hope Skyler and Holly weren't on one of those planes, couldn't be, she said she would only be gone for the weekend. Her sister's house is probably within driving distance. I hope.

Guess we'll have to wait 'till next season to see where those bodies came from. I'm pretty sure those are just some of the bodies that were in the plane, or what's left of them. Also pretty sure an object or body hits Walt's car hence the broken windows all around. Boy I am so glad Skyler, the baby, and Walt Jr. are alright. Just hopefully none of that plane lands on them! And oh man, can't wait to see what Gus' reaction to finding out Walt's brother-in-law is in the DEA will be. Man oh man next season is going to be GOOD!

loved how gus was at the dea office and even put a donation into walts jar.. didnt expect to see him there at all lol he really is good at stayin low no one in a million years would think he would be involved with meth

i know.. man its gonna be a huge wait! ah man so long i dont even want to think about it but now that i think about it months have been flying by fast feels like 2009 just started and well its about half over...

I guess I just don't get it. I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of BB..... and I really felt let down by the ending last night. It just so happens that Donald is a air traffic controller and just so happens that he has what appears to be a very contrived breakdown in the final moments of the show and just so happens that the airplane explodes RIGHT OVER WALTS POOL........If Donald had found out that Walt was responsible for his daughters death and then purposely manipulated the airplane to explode over Walts home than I guess I could see it ... but not so much. Are we left to assume the body bags are from the airplane passengers that just happened to plop side by side right in Walts driveway? I feel like I was cheated. Maybe I put too much thought and anticipation into the final episode and maybe there is no way that it could have met my final expectations, but with a show as awesome as this , the ending just seemed weak. I agree someone should give Aaron Paul (Jesse) a huge award for his performance . He was amazing and had me in tears.

I'm here. I fell asleep watching the second airing of the finale, and I'm just trying to wake up. I've already read Alan Sepinwall's review and his interview with Vince Gilligan. As pointed out here, he was wrong that fans hadn't figured out the plot and the hints (737 Down Over ABQ) and i think we all deserve a pat on the back.

There's a lot to digest, and I'm still working on that. The timeframe from surgery to Skyler leaving kind of threw me, though her questions to the doctor made her intentions obvious. "Can he take care of himself?".

Did anyone catch the pink teddy bear in the mural at Jane's place? I was please that Gilligan used the term "Easter egg" in his interview.

Crap, I keep seeing the scene of the smoke plumes in my head. I think, given the plot device, Walt WILL learn that the deaths of all those people stemmed from his actions. Otherwise, it just doesn't have the same impact. Also, as termed in the interview, it's the "butterfly effect". A butterfly flaps its wings, etc., etc.

More later after a second large coffee to clear the Schraderbrau's effect from my brain.

Wow, just finished watching it, still taking it in.

• I wonder if we will ever find out who the bodies are? There's still the time from the crash to that scene for something to happen.
  
• The time skip was interesting, I like Walt's new look.
  
• Does Gus think Walt's working for the DEA? Or perhaps he'll deem it to risky working with a DEA agents brother and kill him?
  
• I liked the guy working for Saul, he was pretty understanding for a hired goon.
  

I guess all will be revealed next year...
